The Way We Play
This Fall-Winter issue celebrates “play” whether it is playing outdoors, playing music, playing games or playing make-believe. As we continue to learn more about Davidson County, we realize that one of her greatest assets is the outdoors, the rural landscape that spreads from Winston-Salem, High Point, Uwharrie National Forest to the Yadkin River.
What makes Davidson County special is that it remains fundamentally rural despite the proximity to and the encroachment of major expanding urban centers. In Davidson County, quality of life is still affordable, and for many of her residents, access to the beautiful outdoors is a daily routine.
Our cover photo of yoga instructors, Brittany Wilson and Bill Lamb paddling on the Yadkin River, launches this theme of outdoor appreciation and “play” to set the mood. So come play with us, and then play some more. Why? Because you live here. The outdoors is meant to be experienced.
